you said “they sell literally everything cheaper than other places” i just think they sell the stuff they MAKE, cheaper than any other product that competes with it. in most cases it is the worst product of its kind so it should be cheaper. the fact that people choose to buy the worst product so much is absolutely shocking to me. the fact that they buy in such ridiculous bulk allows them to have really good sales on a good product or 2 (leader items) to get people in the stores.
Well if it’s a popular item, no crap they’ll make it more expensive. They make the items they know are going to sell higher… and the items that aren’t as popular cheap, so even they get sold inevitably. It’s a win win situation. Everything will get sold none the less
i dont think that kid will be coming back to a losing argument. but he was obviously using the idea of patents to say competition cant exist. its a common fallacious argument made by communists, socialists and syndicalists. hes trying to act like patents prevent you from producing things that someone else is already producing. hopefully he is reading mises or hayek but probably not.
